‘Nobody missed you. We didn’t miss you’: The View’s Whoopi Goldberg Humiliates Meghan McCain, Former Co-Host Claims Goldberg Has Created ‘Unfathomable Tension’
Whoopi Goldberg has been in the headlines for spectacles on her daytime roundtable show The View, more than she would like, and for almost all the bad reasons too. This time around, the Sister Act star has shared her ‘view’ on the exit of a former co-host. Meghan McCain who was the sole representative of conservatives on the panel walked out of the show in July 2021. And according to Goldberg, it has been a welcome change.
McCain too had a fair share to speak about her stint in the ABC network show, claiming that walking out was in her best interest, thus concluding that it was good riddance for both parties.
Whoopi Goldberg makes rude remark against former The View co-host
Whoopi Goldberg talked to Page Six about McCain’s exit, saying, “It’s calmer because nobody wants to be that tired every day.” McCain and the other panelists often got embroiled in heated debates that resulted in some or the other kind of bad blood. It was not a pleasant sight for the audience either.
Quite some time has passed since McCain’s exit and now The View is taking on two new panelists to represent the conservatives. They are Republican commentator Ana Navarro and former Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farrah Griffin.
“Alyssa’s got a whole different personality. So I think it will be smoother, frankly. I mean, I like both of them but I think this girl is going to do very well.”
Meghan McCain was tired of the infighting
Quite some time ago, McCain had shared her thoughts with People about leaving the show and the reason for the same. She alluded all of it to her relationship with her co-hosts.
“I kind of feel The View is like when the guy who has a bad reputation wants to date you and you’re like, ‘I’m going to be the one to change him’. That’s what The View is to me. I was like, ‘I’m going to be the one to change this. I’m going to be the one that’s going to help the culture and whip it into shape and all these things.’ I really loved debating politics. I actually really love fighting, as long as there are rules. I don’t like when it’s personal, and it started getting really, really personal.”
McCain hasn’t responded to the latest jibe passed against her by The Color Purple actress, but fans think she would not stir a matter that was put to bed over a year ago.
