The group is considered to be one of the main leads in promoting their culture. Due to their massive influence, the group was invited to perform in a concert in the US. However, it is reportedly not happening which has infuriated the BLINKS who are now in unison fighting on behalf of their girls.
BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga to Perform in The US!
On Tuesday, reports circulated that the leading K-Pop Girl group, BLACKPINK had been invited to perform at the White House state dinner which will be hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s visit to the nation on April 26.
As per reports, US first lady Jill Biden who has a keen interest in Hallyu culture suggested a joint performance of American singer, Lady Gaga and the girl group during the Korea-US Summit. For the unversed, the ladies have collaborated on Gaga’s Chromatica album for the song, Sour Candy.
Even their agency, YG Entertainment addressed the invitation by stating via The Daily Sports,
“BLACKPINK has been offered to perform with Lady Gaga in commemoration of President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the United States. We are currently considering [the offer].”
This new collaboration concert quickly brought happiness among the fandom who anticipated for the artists to perform together. However, it might no longer be happening.

It was reported that the invitation was originally sent in January however, the former chief of South Korea’s national Security Office, Kim Seong-han failed to mediate the message resulting in a delay. On the other hand, there are also reports circulating that the US government proposed that Korea bear the cost of the concert which is estimated to be around $2 million.

Due to the suggestion, The Office of the President of South Korea as per PopTingz announced that the group will not be performing at the anticipated state banquet which will celebrate the 70th anniversary of Korea-US relations. BLINKS are not happy with the results and shared their opinion by commenting on the tweet.

While fans are disappointed with the decision, the group’s schedule is already jet-packed. They are scheduled to perform at the Foro Sol Stadium in Mexico City on April 26-27 as part of their Born Pink World Tour which is set to conclude on July 15. Meanwhile, Jisoo’s debut solo debut song, Flower is out now.
