Dwayne Johnson and YouTuber, Logan Paul were once close friends and the duo even shot multiple videos together. But the latter’s one grotesque error cost him the friendship of his favorite star. Johnson and Paul have been seen collaborating in several slapstick comedy sketches. But their camaraderie could not last long as Johnson decided to cut all his ties with the vlogger after he posted a video filming a dead body in a forest in Japan. The video garnered lots of attention and was faced with severe criticism.
Fallout With Dwayne Johnson Was The Saddest Part For Logan Paul
Controversial YouTuber, Logan Paul appeared on the True Geordie podcast. During his conversation, Paul shared that how actor, Dwayne The Rock Johnson had to cut ties with him back in 2017 after he received backlash for filming a dead body in Japan. The YouTuber said the fallout with Johnson was “one of the saddest moments” of his life.
Paul who currently has a massive support of more than 23 million YouTube subscribers said that he was once friendly with Johnson and that the pair filmed several videos and skits together on Paul’s YouTube channel in 2017.
In December 2017, Paul posted a video, which has since been deleted, that showed a dead body in Japan’s Aokigahara forest, sparking controversy. Recalling the backlash that followed up, he said,
“After Japan happened, obviously I found myself in a hole, rightfully so, that I had never been in before, extremely low mentally, and I got a call from my publicist, who also repped Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and she’s like, ‘Hey, Dwayne has asked that you remove every picture and video that you’ve done with him.”
The YouTuber accepted his error and also wished that Johnson had reached out to him personally.
