The statement showed how minority actors belonging to the same community do not get the support when they need it. Recently, Robert Pattinson went on to express his dislike of the Twilight movies and the netizens seemed to support and take it in a light manner. But on the other hand, Constance Wu did not get the same response. As the news broke out about Constance Wu’s comment, netizens called out the people who trolled the Crazy Rich Asians actor and stood in her support.

A user went on to say that Twilight movies were “top-tier garbage”.

According to a user, “white people are allowed to be individuals in their career while poc are expected to carry their whole community on their shoulders” referring to the trolling that Constance Wu faced.

It was always cool to make fun of and disdain Twilight”, said a user. He went on to add that FOB on the other hand was a “sacred cow of representation that no one’s allowed to disparage.”

POC are not obliged to pretend to be happy because there is lack of rep.” said a user while referring to the issue.

While concluding her statement, Constance Wu revealed that she took a break from Hollywood and “had a lot of therapy”. Such an incident of Internet trashing the trolls proves that people are not always mean on social media sites.
