The Royal Family is inching closer to King Charles III’s coronation day on May 6th. Amid preparations, the uncertainty of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attending the event still remains high. Although it has been previously mentioned by King Charles III, that the young Duke and Duchess of Sussex can attend the event. However, ever since the declaration, the Royal Family has maintained silence over further reconciliation towards the Sussexes.

It is now upon the young Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, whether they wish to attend the Royal event. Although their relationship with the Royal Family remains strained, the couple is still welcome, and the ball is in their court. However, the Sussexes seem to be analyzing the consequences before coming to a decision.

King Charles III extends an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave up their Royal titles and responsibilities to live a normal life. The couple shifted to America to find peace and detachment from their Royal Family. Ever since their arrival in America, the couple has been slamming the Royal Family with their Netflix documentary, Oprah Winfrey interview, and Prince Harry’s mémoir, Spare.

Despite every slamming move, King Charles III seems to have played a forgiving role towards his son and daughter-in-law. The King awaits his coronation on May 6th, and he wishes for his youngest son and daughter-in-law to attend the event. The majesty has extended an olive branch as a gesture of invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. 

The Royals have been willing to choose dignity over the ongoing battle initiated by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Therefore, they wish for the couple to attend the Royal ceremony. However, ever since the invitation has been extended, King Charles III and other members of the Royal Family have been maintaining silence and have completely shunned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The Royals are ignoring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prior coronation 

After King Charles III invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple has been facing perpetual ignorance from the Royal Family. The pair are trying to attract the attention of their family members prior to the coronation to analyze the mood. However, they have been simply presented with silence and negligible contact.

The former BBC Royal correspondent, Michael Cole revealed that King Charles III has “played a blinder” towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle regarding the invitation. After Prince Harry pushed his family under the bus, King Charles III, being the father, forgave his son’s indecency. However, he has strategically made the situation difficult for the Sussexes to make a choice of whether to attend the coronation. 

The King, actually, has played a blinder here. He’s made it clear from the very beginning that his youngest son, and his youngest son’s wife, are perfectly welcome at the Coronation.” Michael Cole shared with Sky News Australia

Despite putting the ball in the Sussexes’ court, the King planned the situation in such a way that made decision-making difficult for the young couple. Cole stated,

If they decide they don’t come it will make them look a little bit petty and mean-spirited. And of course, if they do come, it will leave them open to the charge of hypocrisy.”

Amid the glittering plans for King Charles III’s coronation, the young Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in great dilemma of whether to attend the ceremony.
