Ryan Reynolds, Snoop Dogg Locked in a Bidding War Over $525M National Hockey Team Franchise
Ryan Reynolds and Snoop Dogg will be coming face to face for a bidding event. Both the mega-celebrities are Hockey fans and they will be competing against each other to buy one of the biggest hockey teams. The news that Snoop Dogg has joined the race to buy the same hockey team that Reynolds wants to buy started making waves on the internet.
Snoop Dogg came out with a statement that he will be part of the bidding race for the ice hockey team.
Ryan Reynolds and Snoop Dogg will be bidding for Ottawa Senators
Actor Ryan Reynolds and Snoop Dogg both want to bid on the ice hockey team Ottawa Senators. The Free Guy actor was already in the race and now the rapper has joined the bidding race making this bidding war even more exciting for the fans. The Bad Decisions singer has reportedly joined hands with businessman Nero Sparks.
In an Instagram post, Snoop Dogg came out to announce that now he is a part of the bidding race for the Ottawa Senators. He posted a picture of himself and on the picture it was written, “Snoop Dogg has joined the bid to purchase Ottawa Senators.” In the caption, the singer wrote, “Boss Moves.”
While talking about how he wants to bring back Hockey in the country, The Next Episode singer said,
“Amazing what Neko Sparks is trying to do in Ottawa. I’m looking forward to being apart [sic] of that ownership team. I WANNA BRING HOCKEY BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY.”
As per ESPN, the front runners in the bidding war for now are Remington Group and the Red Notice actor is also a part of that group. Reynolds and Snoop Dogg will be going against each other to buy one of the biggest ice hockey teams.
Reportedly Dwayne Johnson was about to join hands with Ryan Reynolds for the bid
In April, there were rumors of Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock joining the bidding war race to buy Ottawa Senators. Johnson had reportedly joined the Sparks group which is now joined by Snoop Dogg. Reynolds team Remington Group is facing heavy competition from their rivals. One of the rumors was, Reynolds will be soon asked by Sparks to join their team to bid against Remington Group which would have brought Reynolds and Johnson.
While talking about the bidding situation for the Ottawa Senators senators, the TSN host Brent Wallace said,
“With the Neko Sparks group, I’m told that their big celebrity is… Dwayne Johnson. The Rock is apparently involved with the Neko Sparks group.”
He further added,
One of the biggest, well-known people on the planet could possibly be a part of the face of your franchise. I think that’s a pretty big deal, and I think the Neko Sparks group has him in their corner.”
Reynolds didn’t come up with the announcement of leaving the Remington Group and going forward with the Sparks Group. He will be bidding for the Ottawa Senators through the Remington Group.
