Sandra Bullock Believes She “could have survived” Dating John Wick Star Keanu Reeves
American actress Sandra Bullock is one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood. In her career spanning more than three decades, she has starred in comedies, dramas, thrillers, and whatnot. She was awarded an Oscar for her portrayal of footballer Michael Oher’s guardian Leigh Anne Tuohy in the 2009 biographical drama The Blind Side.
It is often found that the actors in a movie have too much chemistry as a couple for the viewers to move past. Sometimes, this chemistry manages to seep out from the screens and into reality which results in an unsurprising yet much-celebrated relationship between two such celebrities. Interestingly, although Sandra Bullock had great chemistry with her Speed co-star Keanu Reeves, the two of them never really dated.
Sandra Bullock Never Dated Keanu Reeves
Sandra Bullock confirmed the fact that despite having off-screen chemistry with the John Wick star, they never dated. However, she believed that if they had ever dated and then proceeded to break up, it would not be possible for her to hate him or even stay mad for long.
In an interview with Esquire, Bullock said:
“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being.”
The Lost City actress then went on to say that maybe she would not have been able to say all this if she was angry about being dumped by him. That, however, would be a matter of concern if the duo were to date, which doesn’t look likely as of now.

Both Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves were not the first choices for the characters of Jack Traven and Annie Porter respectively, in Jan de Bont’s directorial debut feature film Speed. It is no coincidence that they had such good chemistry between them.
The duo came together to read the lines for the movie and were made to do some quite physical scenes to make sure that their being lovers would look convincing to the viewers.

Speed gained both critical and commercial success upon its release. The action film grossed $350.4 million against a production budget of $30–37 million making it the fifth-highest-grossing film of the year. Besides, it also won two out of the three Academy Awards it was nominated for.
Part of the reason for the movie’s success was Reeves and Bullock’s on-screen chemistry, which was irresistible. Although this movie established The Matrix star as a leading action hero, he refused to star in the sequel to the movie.
