Scarlett Johansson Was Rejected to Star Along Daniel Craig Due to Her Good Looks!
The 38-year-old actress, Scarlett Johansson is globally recognized for her portrayal of Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Apart from her charismatic agent character, she has worked on some serious roles for different projects. However, director David Fincher of the widely acclaimed film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo chose Rooney Mara over the former for the lead role due to the former being too sexy for the role.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2011, he shared why Johansson was not selected to play the role of Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s adaptation of the famous Nordic book of the same title.
“Look, we saw some amazing people. Scarlett Johansson was great. It was a great audition, I’m telling you. But the thing with Scarlett is, you can’t wait for her to take her clothes off.”
While the actress was not selected, the director shared his opinion on why he chose Mara for the role.

The 37-year-old actress did a commendable job to throw some intense vibes which were needed for the role of Lisbeth Salander. The director told that she was the perfect one for the role,
“Oh, man. She’s a weirdo. She’s a great weirdo.”
He told the outlet about how she prepared for the role which was quite challenging. Sharing that they got her an apartment in Stockholm after she was selected to play the part, she disappeared to work on herself.
“She learned how to ride a motorcycle and got all of her piercings and tattoos. Also, I asked her to learn how to skateboard because you need to stand like a 13-year-old boy. I said, ‘I don’t want you to stand like a girl.’
Mara did her best to portray the dynamic role in the film and even got nominated for Oscars for her performance. Not just her, but the film also was a critical and commercial success that received highly positive reviews from critics.
