Critics from reputed media houses even commented on the trailer of the upcoming Marvel series. Daniel D’Addario, from Variety mentioned- “In the main, Secret Invasion has things on its mind that it’s content to tease out in a pace that a Marvel film might not allow.”
Dan Fienberg, from The Hollywood Reporter, commented-
“For the most part, Secret Invasion is more dour and even dull than one might expect from its John le Carré/Graham Greene trappings.”
During his appearance on the show Good Morning America, he was asked about what are the traits he really hates about his character Nick Fury. The Matrix actor mentioned-
“After the blip that you know all the people who watch Marvel Thanos did that he kind of changed the world and changed a lot of things and Nick’s been missing. You find out in Spider-Man what is that far from home, uh, that Nick’s been, uh, not there and been replaced by his skrull friend. At the end of that series and you find out he’s been up on his spaceship and not on Earth, so he’s come back now and that’s what Secret Invasions, you know, basically based on.”
Samuel L. Jackson’s Secret Invasion has already taken the internet by storm and his fans just cannot wait for the release of the series. He has also appeared in multiple Marvel projects as the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Samuel L. Jackson Opens Up On Being Awarded An Oscar
Despite being a part of more than 150 movies, the actor was only nominated for Best Supporting Actor during the 1995 Academy Awards for his role in Pulp Fiction. During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Samuel L. Jackson opened upon receiving the Academy Award in 2022 during the non-televised ceremony. He was presented the award with his long-time friend Denzel Washington. He mentioned-
“As jaded as I wanted to be about it, you know, thinking. Well, I should have won an Oscar for this or should have won for that and it didn’t happen,’ once I got over it many years ago, it wasn’t a big deal for me. I always have fun going to the Oscars. I always look forward to getting a gift basket for being a presenter. I give stuff to my relatives; my daughter and my wife would take stuff out. It’s cool.”
The actor even mentioned that he should have got the Oscar award for Pulp Fiction. While talking about the awards and nominations, the actor even went on to add a dash of racism to the entire topic of discussion. He said-
“I guess Black folk usually win for doing despicable s— on screen. Like Denzel [Washington] for being a horrible cop in Training Day. All the great stuff he did in uplifting roles like Malcolm X? No — we’ll give it to this motherf—-r. So maybe I should have won one.”
Secret Invasion features a list of actors from the category of A-listers in Hollywood. The Marvel Studios-based Secret Invasion would be aired on June 21, 2023, on Disney+.
