Disney+ advertises the show as a “modern coming-of-age story combined with fantasy adventure,” premised on the Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black children’s book series. It pursues the Grace family — twin brothers Jared and Simon, their sister Mallory, and their mother Helen — as they settle into their dilapidated ancestral home and begin to piece together a dark mystery about their great-great uncle, who once explored the secret and foreboding faerie world that exists alongside their own.

According to Deadline, Kat Coiro will helm the first two episodes of The Spiderwick Chronicles for Disney+. For the streaming service, she is also directing and executive producing six episodes of the forthcoming MCU series She-Hulk. Coiro is most renowned for her work on Emmy-winning comedies such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Brooklyn 99, and she also has a number of major film credits, including the newly released Marry Me, which stars Loki’s, Owen Wilson. Her knowledge will prove helpful when She-Hulk makes her long-awaited debut in the MCU, as the character breaches the fourth wall and adds a new level of humor to the franchise’s growing tale.

Goldberg, Julie Kane-Ritsch, and Aron Eli Coleite will work as the executive producer for the series. Coleite will serve as the showrunner too. There’s truly a lot to look forward to and let’s wish this stands our expectations unlike the Moon Knight concluding episode.
