‘She was unnecessarily condescending and dismissive’: Ellen DeGeneres Accused of Shaming Megan Fox After Fox’s Questions Revealed DeGeneres May be Abusing Her Wife Portia
2020 did not turn out to be a very great year for the comedian and television host, Ellen DeGeneres. She was canceled after several employees exposed the talk show host’s true colors. Ellen was accused of having a toxic work environment, as employees opened up about the racism, fear, and intimidation present at the workplace. The backlash even caused the cancellation of what used to be one of the best talk shows.
However, there were always things that pointed out DeGeneres’ toxic and bossy behavior when she interviewed guests on her talk show. And seems like Megan Fox unknowingly exposed Ellen’s true nature when she joined her on the show a decade ago in 2012.

Megan Fox joined Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show for the promotion of her 2012 film This is 40. Although she reportedly is an intermediate astrologer now, she did not have that much knowledge about astrology when she appeared on her talk show a decade ago. The host asked Fox if she could describe her personality trait after telling her that she is an Aquarius, whose moon sign is Aries.
The host tried her best to embarrass the Transformers star as she answered every single question with a “No.” When Fox asked her if she finds herself independent, bossy, or controlling, she said no and asked her to “go for some positive things.”
She further tried to confuse the Jennifer’s Body star by answering with a “No” and then agreeing with her when she asked if she was physically active as a kid. It led Megan Fox to say, “I don’t know anything about it.” DeGeneres later admitted to being bossy and controlling as she joked that she was going to take control and end this.
People called out the host in comments as they pointed out that DeGeneres was “unnecessarily condescending and dismissive” toward her guest. While she tried her best to question Fox’s astrological knowledge, she seemingly took it as an inspiration. Two years later, on Conan O’Brian’s talk show, Fox confidently said that she is quite good at astrology.
Ellen DeGeneres And Portia de Rossi’s Strained Marriage
While Ellen DeGeneres denied being controlling or bossy, people called her out in the comments saying that the talk show host was “very dishonest” while answering the questions, as they pointed out the scandal revolving around her abusive behavior toward her wife, Portia de Rossi.
The couple, who got married in 2008 after dating for around four years, faced some issues, and a confrontation between them reportedly led the Ally McBeal actress to check into rehab. According to reports, de Rossi suffered from a drinking addiction in 2014, and the couple got into a “row” at their home after DeGeneres confronted her wife for drinking too much.
However, the Arrested Development actress reportedly blamed her wife’s “controlling ways” for her drinking addiction and said that “she wasn’t in love with her anymore.” Many even assumed that this was the end of their relationship and that they would soon file for divorce. However, Portia de Rossi supported Ellen DeGeneres after she was accused of fostering a toxic work environment.
