According to a report by Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales was previously admitted to the hospital during her pregnancy after facing severe morning sickness. However, since her surgery went well, Princess Kate is doing fine.

“The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

The royal statement also includes that they will only be updating on Kate Middleton’s progress until she recovers completely and are seeking privacy. The statement reads:

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.”

Prince Williams is also concerned about his wife’s health, for which he is balancing the childcare of their three children and has postponed his official duties until Princess Kate’s recovery. The family of the future Queen has also maintained their support for Kate Middleton. Since the statement includes “medical privacy,” the exact issue of the Princess’s health remains sealed.

Kate Middleton’s Battle With Severe Morning Sickness and Scar on Head

The Princess of Wales has a history of suffering from alarming morning sickness while she was carrying Prince George. Kate Middleton was hospitalized in King Edward VII’s Hospital, which has been utilized by the royals for decades. The princess had to deal with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) again while she had Princess Charlotte in 2014 and Prince Louis in 2018.

Before her battle with morning sickness or HG, the Princess of Wales had an operation when she was a kid. In 2011, a three-inch scar was noticed on the left side of her head, and following the pictures of Princess Kate’s scar, the royals issued a statement claiming that it was due to the “childhood operation”. The surgery was crucial, and further details about the scar left after the removal of a birthmark remained under wraps.

As for now, Kate Middleton will not carry out any official duties until after Easter. Her father-in-law, King Charles III, will also undergo a “corrective procedure,” and a statement has been shared for it as well.
