Colombian pop legend Shakira is back in the music game after her separation from her ex-partner, Gerard Pique. The pop queen arrived in New York City this week and performed her hit diss track last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

She recently collaborated with DJ Bizarrap for her new song titled Bzrp Music Sessions #53, in which Shakira savagely slams her ex-partner, former Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué. The track broke many records on the internet and generated more than 80 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours of release.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer, who recently took to Instagram to share the big news with her fans, announced that she will be performing her new song along with Bizarrap on The Tonight Show. Expressing her excitement, the singer wrote,

“Excited to be back in NYC, @bizarrap and I will be performing our session for the first time live on @fallontonight!”

She continued,

“We’d love to hear from our biggest fans and see you performing the song—show us how well you know it, and maybe you can be up close to us that day! Use #Session53NYC our teams will be watching”.

Shakira released the song this January, and the response she and Bizarrap have received is just insane. It has broken the record for the biggest debut for a Latin song in YouTube history.

The show host welcomed both artists to his show and began sharing with his audience as he praised the singers. Fallon shared that Shakira and Bizarrap have broken records by winning four Guinness World Records, and their song has become the most-viewed Latin song in YouTube history. In addition to that, Shakira won 10 more titles subsequently for her song. Fallon asked the singer,

“How did the song come together? Did you know Biza?”

To which Shakira responded,

“You know it was my son, Milan, who just turned 10. Actually, my kids are like my career consultants lately; they pitch in for video ideas because they have really good taste.”

She continued,

“Milan has very good taste in music, and he is a very big Biza fan, and he told me a few months ago, Mom, you have to get on a song with Bizarrap because you guys are going to be number one.”

Shakira arrived in New York for her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with her children, Sasha and Milan. And according to multiple reports, the singer will be making a permanent move to the US and will be living there permanently with her kids.
