ABC’s show The View has generated numerous disclaimers throughout the years despite not being intended to address political issues and debates. The recent comment made by Whoopi Goldberg has got the show in trouble. Recently, Neo-Nazi protesters attended the Florida-based Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in 2022. The group was chanting racial epithets and brandishing flags with Nazi symbols.

Joy Behar and Goldberg during the show shot in Tampa Florida, shifted to discuss the Student Action Summit. They made some unsettling comments that led to them further apologizing for the same on-air. Turning Point made sure the comment didn’t go unauthorized while making ABC take responsibility for their show.

Whoopi Goldberg, the co-host of The View, commented on the TPUSA Student Action Summit on their show. This comment has led the show to get involved in another controversy. The Color Purple star made a comment during the show’s episode regarding the conservative group’s treatment of the protesters and compared the two groups.

She said, “You let them in and you knew what they were, so you are complicit.” The 67-year-old was accompanied by Joy Behar, who accused Ron DeSantis of doing nothing regarding the group of Neo-Nazis, who were camping at the event.

Turning Point sent an official cease-and-desist letter to ABC in response to the remark. The View desperately tried saving their ratings by making on-air apologies. First, the co-host of the show, Sara Haines apologized to the group and put in front certain concerns they wished to make.

Later the Oscar-winning actor apologized directly to the group on air. She claimed to have made assumptions regarding their interactions with Neo-Nazi protesters. She also expressed regret for her remarks brewing criticism. She complained that she disliked people making assumptions about her and regretted linking the organization’s members to the Neo-Nazi marchers.

Although the Ghost actor apologized officially to the group, Turning Point management didn’t accept it.

In the wake of The View making their host apologize for commenting on TPUSA, the group did not accept the apology. Turning point confronted the co-host for being silent when Haines apologized for her remarks. They obviously didn’t want to forget and forgive and brought up the contentious remarks about the Holocaust made by her.

Goldberg this year again apologize for commenting about the Holocaust on the show. She said she believes the Holocaust is about race. She faced defamation from the Anti-Defamation League, the U.S. Holocaust Museum, and other Jewish organizations for her remarks on the show.
