‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Cast, Box Office Collection and Post Credit Scene
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the eagerly anticipated live-action Marvel superhero film from Sony, has finally managed to occupy the top position at the box office making its debut. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the Academy Award–winning and critically acclaimed 2018 sequel, has managed to garner the second-highest number of previews for an animated film. It is not far behind Incredibles 2 from 2018, which brought in about $18.5 million.
Both the general public and the critics have had overwhelmingly positive reactions to the film. Since Sony decided to screen the first 15 minutes of the sequel at CinemaCon 2022, interest in the follow-up has increased. This weekend’s preview of the film by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, who aimed to elevate the animation form, shows that their efforts were successful after a protracted delay.

Across the Spider-Verse clocks in as the second-best preview for an animated movie
Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures animation’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has managed to web around $17.35 Million at the box office in previews on Thursday. It is now expected to open at near about $80 million during the weekend and some critics have mentioned that the figure could easily go up to $90 to $100 million as well or maybe more across the 4,313 theatres. People have pointed out that the highly anticipated sequel has debuted on a big swing compared to the 2018 movie, which opened at $35.4 million and had about $3.5 million in the previews.
RelishMix claimed about the social media buzz about the movie stating, “Spider-Verse positive chatter is spilling over into Super Mario Bros mass-audience — with excitement for Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy aka Spider-Woman, cross-references to live-action Spidey, added enthusiastic praise for the look of the film. MCU divers are plunging into the franchise expansion scenarios and storylines for the next animated and live films — with a noticeable absence of questions about when this will stream.”
Did Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse break Marvel’s post-credit streak?
According to reports, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse broke the Marvel movies’ post-credits streak during its theatrical debut. If you’re wondering how Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures’ animation accomplished that, it was possible because the film lacked a post-credits scene.
The audience has noted that although these additional post-credit scenes can occasionally be entertaining, they occasionally detract from the emotional impact of the conclusion. Although the film breaks the tradition of having post-credit scenes in Marvel films, viewers are happy to only see the title Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse after the first animated credits have finished.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now playing in theaters worldwide.
