“Tailoring fit for Royalty”: Prince Harry Reportedly Chose Meghan Markle’s Favorite Fashion House Dior for His Wardrobe to Honor His Wife in King Charles Coronation Ceremony
On 6 May 2023, King Charles III was crowned as the new King of England. Many celebrities and renowned politicians from all around the world gathered to celebrate a new beginning for the king. Prince Harry’s arrival at the coronation ceremony was the talk of the town since the date of the coronation was announced.
Prince Harry arrived at his father King Charles IIIs coronation alone without his wife Megahan Marke. But, Prince Harry found a way to remind everyone of his love for Markle.
Prince Harry wore Meghan Markle’s favorite designer’s custom-made outfit for the coronation
Prince Harry arrived in style and he still carried a part of Meghan Markle with him to King Charles IIIs coronation ceremony. The Spare Book author donned a custom-made Dior outfit for the crowning ceremony of King Charles. The Duke of Sussex made an entry into the historic walls of Westminster Abby wearing his wife Markle’s favorite designer Dior. In a post on social media, Dior confirmed that Prince Harry chose their custom-made outfit for the big day, the post reads,
“Tailoring fit for royalty. Dior is honored to have dressed Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, for the coronation of King Charles III in a custom design by Kim Jones.”
Markle and Dior’s relationship has been for many years. Everyone is aware of the love the Suits actress has for the Dior ensembles. Although the Duchess of Sussex wasn’t present for the coronation ceremony she was still the talk of the town.
Meghan Markle skipped the coronation ceremony because she wasn’t comfortable
Although many people speculated that Markle would decline the invitation and not attend the coronation some people were expecting Markle to attend. A source close to Markle said she wasn’t comfortable around the royal family. She didn’t feel welcome to go and attend the crowning ceremony of King Charles III.
Reportedly, when the Royal family was informed that Markle will not be joining them for the coronation ceremony they were relieved. They didn’t want to entertain any drama from Markle’s side as reportedly the actress kept many conditions before saying to attend the coronation. A close friend of Markle said,
“While Charles clearly has an interest in enhancing diversity, it was impossible to ignore the fact that the royal family’s only family member of color and mother of the House of Windsor’s only mixed-race children, Duchess Meghan, didn’t feel comfortable or welcome enough to attend.”
After Markle didn’t show up for King Charles IIIs coronation ceremony people thought it was a mean move. As King Charles III offered to walk her down the aisle when she was getting married to Prince Harry in 2018.
