The Witcher writer Andrzej Sapkowski humorously reveals the bitter truth that might not sit well with everyone. Netflix’s The Witcher features Henry Cavill in the lead and earned high acclaim for the performances.

However, what’s notable is the revelation that came from the original book’s writer Andrzej Sapkowski who disclosed that Netflix never considered his ideas when he visited the set. Even though the writer mentions being amazed after witnessing the creative work, the adaptation creators ignoring his ideas has disappointed fans.

The Witcher Author Says Netflix Never Considers His Feedback

Fans have been quick to judge why the last two seasons of The Witcher failed to excite fans the way its previous ones did. During an Interview with Comic-Con via Cerealkillers, writer Andrzej Sapkowski while talking about his work carted in The Witcher books and his ideas, also revealed that Netflix who created the TV adaptation, never considered his feedback when Sapkowski visited the sets.

He said: “I gave them some ideas but never listen to me. They never listen. “It’s normal … ‘Who’s this? It’s the writer, it’s nobody”. Fans don’t seem to be taking this lightheartedly and have expressed their true opinions on X(earlier Twitter)  about why they dislike the streamer:

Another reason why viewers who were fond of The Witcher are losing interest is because Henry Cavill departs from the show in the upcoming seasons. This might affect the viewership of the show and after observing the writer’s revelation, fans have been disappointed.

Another significant question that the interviewer asked Andrzej Sapkowski was about his inspiration behind crafting The Witcher which even the book enthusiast must to curious to know. Talking about his experience writing the books and the inspiration behind them, Sapkowski said:

“My first story it was practically an adaptation of the Polish folk tale.”

The writer explains that through the Polish folk tale, he wanted to approach the fantasy generation. Sapkowski also mentioned that while writing his books he doesn’t frame the entire story and usually focuses on letters and words, as those are the elements that most readers see in the books and leave the imagination part to the curious readers.
