“That’s not cool”: Guardians of The Galaxy Star Zoe Saldana Upset With Annoying Policy Marvel Enforces on The Actors
Zoe Saldana is popularly known for her roles as Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek film series, Neytiri in the Avatar franchise, and Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her achievement is quite commendable as she has starred in three of the five highest-grossing films of all time. However, when it comes to franchise policies, especially with Marvel, she finds it annoying.
The 44-year-old Marvel celebrity has long been a part of the MCU franchise, however, the protocols that the franchise has the actors follow, made her upset as that overloads them.

The New Jersey-born actress opens up about her experience working with Marvel which she admitted was quite “annoying” as they have strict protocols to prevent anything from getting leaked.
In an interview in InStyle’s Winter 2022 digital issue, Joe Saldana shared, “That can be annoying sometimes.”
She added,
“That’s not cool, because you have to memorize, you have to prepare, you have to do research. And I tend to take myself a little too seriously sometimes.”
She also opened up about having to understand her role as an actress.
“I really enjoy working with filmmakers that don’t underestimate my intelligence and know that I am an adult. I will be discreet. It is as important to me as it is for him or her that I don’t let these scripts out of my sight.”
Saldana once posted a small glimpse of a script on her Instagram which she later deleted and reposted, hiding her script with a highlighter. This is the reason why she addressed the strict protocol that Marvel follows.
Zoe Saldana is Coming Back in Avatar 2
Saldana is reprising her role of Neytiri in the upcoming Avatar: The Way of Water. The James Cameron-directed film is a sequel to 2009’s Avatar that became the highest-grossing films of all time.
Speaking with Women’s Wear Daily, the actress shares her opinion on the movie stating it is a “baby” for her.
“‘Avatar,’ it’s just my baby. It’s everybody’s baby. And to see this baby now being a teenager, like a young adult, and getting to share it with the world is just…I felt like this day would never come and it’s finally here,” she stated.
She shared how the upcoming movie will leave a great impact on its viewers.
“I’m hoping for ‘Avatar 2: The Way of Water’ to have a very beautiful impact on people. But it’s not for the sake of breaking any records or making a ton of money. I think this saga is special. It was made with a lot of love and a lot of work. And it’s an experience worth having.”
The sequel will be revolving around the Sully family along with the challenges they’ll face in the fictional world of Pandora.
Avatar: The Way of Water is scheduled to premiere in theaters on 16th December, 2022.
