As it broadens the cosmos and introduces new characters and ideas, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a key movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There were several unexpected cameos in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, much to the pleasure of fans. These cameos weren’t all made equal, either. Some were fleeting but noteworthy, like Patrick Stewart’s reappearance as Professor X. Others were more important but tragically ended, such as John Krasinski’s portrayal of Reed Richards.

Another actor who made his MCU debut in Doctor Strange 2 and similarly met with an unflattering ending now has frustrating news for MCU fans.

Black Bolt was portrayed by Anson Mount in Doctor Strange 2

Black Bolt, played by Anson Mount, makes an unexpected comeback in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In 2017, Mount debuted as the role in the ABC series Inhumans, which had a brief run. Black Bolt, a superhero from Earth-838, is a member of the Illuminati in the movie.

Black Bolt’s voice gives him strength. His voice has the ability to speak with such force that it can bring down entire buildings. He can, however, also kill himself if he says even one word. However, Wanda Maximoff kills Black Bolt in Doctor Strange 2. Black Bolt blows his own head off after Wanda uses her abilities to make him speak.

Anson Mount is open to returning as Black Bolt in the MCU

The introduction of Black Bolt, played by Anson Mount, along with other well-known superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, captured the attention of Marvel fans. Black Bolt’s character died tragically when Scarlet Witch used his own sonic abilities against him.

Although Black Bolt’s death in the movie appears to prevent a comeback in the main MCU timeline, however, with the introduction of the multiverse theory, anticipation over the prospect of Black Bolt’s comeback in a different universe has grown. Anson Mount recently made a hint about a prospective return by disclosing that he had informal conversations with Marvel executive management regarding a future project down the road.

Although he was unable to provide any official plans, Mount voiced that he would be excited to play the role again and gushed about how much he loved playing the character of Black Bolt. For MCU fans, though, the announcement’s lack of clarification is extremely frustrating.
