The Boys Confirms Release Date for Season 4
The critically adored and highly anticipated superhero parody show by Eric Kripke is all set to make a grand entry after almost two years of a long hiatus. Based on the comic book of the same name, The Boys follows a group of superheroes led by Billy Butcher who are determined to bring down the corrupt superhero group The Seven.
Prime Video has now announced a release date for the uber-popular show and fans can not keep calm.
The Boys Season 4 Release Date Confirmed
The Boys season 4 release date has finally been confirmed after much deliberation and teasing. It has been a long two years for fans who have been waiting for their favorite show with a parched soul. In a picture posted on social media (via. X), The Boys official account let the fans know that it was all set to return on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Like the previous seasons, it will premiere three episodes at once. After that, each new episode will debut weekly on Prime Video. The season finale will take place on Thursday, July 18. Prime Video even released a synopsis of what is to come. According to it, the chaos that would ensue somewhat looks like this:
“In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

Although most of the cast will remain the same, Valorie Curry as Firecracker and Susan Heyward as Sister Sage are joining in the fun for some extra pizzazz. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has also been confirmed to be joining the cast. However, the role he will be playing is shrouded in mystery.
The Boys Season 4 Will Be Launching At A Great Time To Make Up For A Dry Summer
Due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes of 2023, many movies, including superhero movie schedules, got pushed to late 2024 or 2025. A prime example of that would be Captain America: Brave New World, which is being rescheduled to release in 2025. There is only one MCU movie on the horizon for 2024, which is Deadpool 3, which will be coming in July. There are also no DC releases scheduled for 2024 under James Gunn and Peter Safran’s revamped DCU.

There are no superhero movies that are set to release before Deadpool 3, besides the already-released Valentine’s Day Marvel flick Madame Web. The three superhero movies that would release this year, namely August’s Kraven the Hunter, October’s Joker: Folie à Deux, and November’s Venom 3, come way after The Boys so the coast is clear for the Prime Video original to make a splash and also make sure the superhero lovers do not suffer from a dry summer.
