“The future starts now”: Kelly Ripa Wants ‘Live’ Fans to Calm Down as They Resist Mark Consuelos Officially Replacing Ryan Seacrest
Kelly Ripa is one of the most famous names in the television entertainment industry. The American talk show host is always in the news and making headlines for one reason or another. Ripa recently made headlines after bidding adieu to her long-time co-host of Live! With Kelly and Ryan, Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest announced earlier this year in February that he would be leaving the show after hosting it for almost 5 years.
Mark Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest as the permanent co-host of the show and it has been a disaster so far. The fans seem cringed out by the couple’s PDA on air and shared their critical reviews online. However, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos took the hate like professionals that they are and are really hopeful for the future.

Mark Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest as the permanent co-host of Live! earlier this week on Monday. “The future starts now“, the couple said on their very first episode together. Although Kelly Ripa and Consuelos looked a bit lost, to say the least on their first episode, they have recovered splendidly so far throughout the week. During a recent episode of Live! With Kelly and Mark, the co-hosts did couple’s yoga in one of their segments, and the fans went crazy after the episode aired.
The fans argued that the couple was doing too much PDA on television.

A source at the Live! production house opened up about how they felt about the recent complaints from the fans after Mark Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest as the permanent co-host of the show. The source said that the couple found the fans ‘irritating‘. The source further added, “Kelly’s been through this before — with every new co-host!” The source further added,
“Joel McHale [a fill-in co-host] once had to carry Kelly upside down for an obstacle race and her head was at his rear end and her arms were wrapped around his waist — can you imagine the faux outrage if Mark had to do that?“
Kelly Ripa also talked about Consuelos not being to do well on the show. She said,
“I had no concerns about how well he was going to do and he really proved me right…I’m so proud of him, but I was never worried. I just told him to get out there and enjoy himself, be himself and he did.”
Some of the fans were also pissed that the Thursday and Friday episodes of this week were pre-recorded and not live. However, the show saw some astronomical viewing numbers on their show throughout the week so things are really looking up for the future of Live! With Kelly and Mark.
