The Marvels is the most recent superhero movie that has taken fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) across the world by storm. Apart from the movie itself, one of the most exciting parts of watching an MCU movie is the post-credits scene that leaves the audience wanting more.

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau take on the Kree warrior villain Dar-Benn. The post-credits scene of the movie will certainly have fans cheering in the theatres as it sees the MCU expand further with several heroes showing up.

Let’s find out which superheroes appear in the scene.

In the post-credits scene of the movie, Kamala Khan pulls a Nick Fury as she tries to make up her own superhero team of young heroes. This move is similar to Nick Fury’s in the post-credits scene of the 2008 movie Iron Man in which he was forming Avengers.

The first member of Kamala’s young superhero team turns out to be Hailee Steinfeld‘s Kate Bishop, the mentee of Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton aka Hawkeye from the Disney+ TV show. Kate’s pet dog Lucky the Pizza Dog is also seen in the scene and doesn’t seem to mind Khan visiting them unannounced.

Ms. Marvel asks Kate if she would like to be a part of her superhero squad and even namedrops Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie Lang who had become a superhero herself in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The post-credits scene also sees Kelsey Grammer as the X-Men character Beast. In the alternate reality in which she is now stuck, Monica Rambeau wakes up in her hospital bed to be greeted by Dr. Hank McCoy who has come to check on his patient. Interestingly, he also mentions another popular X-Men character Professor Xavier, saying that he would like to know how Monica is doing.

Kelsey Grammer who has previously portrayed an older version of Dr. Hank McCoy in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand and 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, reprises his role as the X-Men character in The Marvels. The fact that Nicholas Hoult’s younger Dr. Hank, who has appeared in X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix, was not used in this movie makes the whole even more intriguing.

Maria Rambeau

If Dr. Hank’s appearance in the movie did not make the audience leave their seats in excitement, Maria Rambeau’s certainly will. Early on in The Marvels, Lashana Lynch’s character Maria Rambeau from Captain Marvel appears via flashback to let Carol know that she is dying and asks her to take care of Goose in the absence of her daughter, Monica Rambeau.

In the post-credits scene of The Marvels, Lashana Lynch’s Maria Rambeau is seen watching over Monica in the hospital. Monica becomes quite emotional when she sees her mother alive while Maria appears confused and asks Monica who she is because Maria has no recollection of her daughter as this is an alternate reality.

The most interesting part about Maria Rambeau’s appearance in the post-credits scene is that she puts on her superhero suit which looks identical to the one the superhero Binary wears in the Marvel comics. Now, there are many different versions of Binary in the comics so only time can tell the purpose of Maria Rambeau putting on Binary’s suit.
