The duo has been spotted on numerous occasions enjoying each other’s company. The sightings and claims by other journalists remain rumors to date because neither Shakira nor Hamilton have commented on their alleged relationship.
Shakira is certainly not afraid of being seen as moving on from her past relationship since her ex-partner has already moved in with his new girlfriend Clara Chia. The footballer wasted no time in settling down with the woman he cheated with and letting bygones be bygones.
Shakira spotted at the 2023 Grand Prix
Seemingly, this is where it all began, when Shakira was spotted in the VIP arena cheering on for Hamilton who rode for Mercedes. They spent some time together at Shakira’s Ibiza villa last year as well. If that wasn’t enough, Hamilton had another visit from Shakira when she stood in the stands at the Spanish Grand Prix in support of the rider who ended up cinching the second place.
The two shared drinks with other riders and their friends in Barcelona soon after. Daniel Caesar, Fai Khadra, and Mustafa were also in attendance with the latter sharing a story on Instagram that showed Hamilton with his arm wrapped around Shakira.

All have noticed the brewing closeness and possible relationship between the singer and the sportsman has been in recent times. A source close to the situation told People,
They’re spending time together and in the ‘getting to know you’ stage. It’s fun and flirty.
Reportedly, the couple is keeping is casual and not letting the relationship get too serious. Shakira is still reeling from the divorce and perhaps does not wish to jump into a new relationship headfirst.
Hamilton, on the other hand, remains on the race track most of the year. Hence, their decision to take it slow might just work in their favor.
Shakira addressed the rumors in July 2024
When the singer posed for the cover of Rolling Stone magazine for the July-August 2024 edition, she shared how she truly felt. Shakira adamantly claimed that she does not have time for a man in her life right now. Since the divorce, she has been devoted to taking care of her children and ensuring their well-being comes first.
However, she is not averse to relationships and will possibly consider her need for love at a later stage. She said,
What can I tell you, I like men. That’s the problem. I shouldn’t like them with everything that’s happened to me, but imagine how much I like men that I still like them.
At the same time, when the probe went further to include casual relationships and outings, Shakira dismissed the same by claiming, “Hey, I’m not opposed to having friends.” This seems to be contradictory to what Jodi Martin, a journalist apparently close to Shakira said,
