Rowling has become the talk on Twitter this week for how she responded to a critic who asked how the Harry Potter creator “sleeps at night.”
Joanne Rowling, also known by her pen name J.K. Rowling is the author of the much-loved series of seven Harry Potter novels, originally published between 1997 and 2007. In addition to selling over 500 million copies, the series has been translated into at least 70 languages and spawned a global media franchise that includes films and video games.

J.K. Rowling Doesn’t Care About Fans; Royalties Pay Her Off Enough
British Author J.K. Rowling sleeps peacefully and doesn’t mind losing ‘woke‘ fans since royalties continue flowing into her bank accounts. This week, on her Twitter account, where she has more than 14 million followers, the Harry Potter author answered a question posed by one of her fans: “How can you sleep at night knowing you are losing a huge audience?”
Despite being undiplomatic, Rowling responded aggressively to an online critic. Rowling responded in a tweet with more than 257K likes, “I read my most recent royalty checks and find the pain goes away pretty quickly.”

Rowling’s net worth has been estimated to range from $US650 million to $US1.2 billion, according to Business Insider.
J.K. Rowling Created Controversy Toward Transgender People
Since a few years ago, J.K. Rowling has been embroiled in controversy over her statements about transgender people, which many have labeled “hate speech.”
Several conservatives have tweeted positive things about Rowling, including Larry O’Connor, who wrote, “England still has a queen,” and the tweet from Rowling about transgender people was retweeted over 25,000 times and liked over 234,000 times.

Rowling, however, has been strongly criticized by the left, believing that her statements have a detrimental effect on thousands of transgender children.

Billionaire writer opposes policies related to transgender people. Recently, she highlighted a blog post written by the parents of a girl with learning disabilities who attends a special needs school. According to reports, the school implemented “cross-gender intimate care” instead of “same-sex intimate care.”
“I’m so fucking angry my hands are shaking,” the author said.
“I am the daughter of a disabled mother and have campaigned for the rights of vulnerable children for many years, but I remain constantly shocked at the cruelty and indifference shown to those who cannot advocate for themselves.”
She added,
“I urge anyone who feels as I do when reading this article to contact their MP, as I will be contacting mine and anyone else I know who can stand up to this horror show.”
J.K. Rowling Pays Homage To Harry Potter’s Robbie Coltrane
In addition to Harry Potter fame, Robbie Coltrane is no longer with us. As Rubeus Hagrid in the popular franchise, the actor played a much-loved and memorable role. Unfortunately, a 72-year-old Coltrane died yesterday, according to reports. The social media world has begun condolences for the late actor. Besides the millions of fans, Daniel Radcliffe and J.K. Rowling also penned heartfelt condolences for Robbie Coltrane as they remembered their time together.
JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, took to Twitter and shared a sweet photo with the late actor; she also wrote a few lines in memory of him. It read,
“I’ll never know anyone remotely like Robbie again. He was an incredible talent, a complete one-off, and I was beyond fortunate to know him, work with him and laugh my head off with him. I send my love and deepest condolences to his family, above all, his children.”
