The Walking Dead Star Tyler James Williams Denies He’s Gay, Slams Fans “Queer Questioning” Him to Create Fear Amongst LGBTQ+ Community
Tyler James Williams was previously identified as gay by some social media users. However, later, the actor clarified that he is not, in fact, gay. Wiliams emphasized that assuming someone’s s*xual orientation can be dangerous as it may lead to serious anxiety.
Many internet users also stood up in his support and slammed those who were concerned about others’ s*xuality. Williams has also claimed that though he doesn’t belong to the Pride community, he does support LGBTQA members.
Tyler James Williams stood up for himself
Tyler James Williams has often been subjected to speculation about being gay. However, the actor has blatantly denied all such claims. The 30-year-old actor condemns the notion of assuming someone’s s*xual orientation, as it may trigger anxiety in a person. The actor took to his social media handles to confront his fans and followers.
The Wedding Year actor criticized people for presuming someone’s s*xual identity based on their behavior and style. Recently, the actor wrote on his Instagram page that he rarely pays attention to such stuff, but looking at the depth of the situation, he has to take a stand. He wrote,
“Usually I wouldn’t address stuff like this, but I feel like it as a conversation is bigger than me. I’m not gay, but I think the culture of trying to ‘find’ some kind of hidden trait or behavior that a closed person ‘let slip’ is very dangerous. Overanalyzing someone’s behavior in an attempt to ‘catch’ them directly contributes to the anxiety a lot of queer and queer-questioning people feel when they fear living in their truth.”
He further elucidated by mentioning that it’s vague to assume someone’s s*xuality, as there is no measure for it. No one is born straight or gay. Williams concluded by saying that,
“What may seem like harmless fun and conversation may actually be sending a dangerous message to those struggling with real issues. I refuse to inadvertently contribute to that message.”
The Abbott Elementary star showed his support for the queer community and wished that they felt seen in a way that made them feel safe. Williams’s gesture was supported by his followers, and they also agreed with his notions.

The most ironic part about all of this is that the majority of people who’s calling him 🏳️🌈 are actually 🏳️🌈 men.
I will never understand why 🏳️🌈 men who are already victims of bullying for their own sexuality would think it’s okay to bully straight men about their sexuality.

I will never understand why people obsess about the sexual proclivities of people they have no access to.

In 2023, why is someone else’s sexuality still a talking point for people? Y’all don’t think it’s weird to speculate on someone’s sexuality especially if you don’t know them?

I hate this “witch hunt” culture that targets queer people to force them out of the closet. You are NOT entitled to details about a person’s life, even if that person is queer. They don’t owe “coming out” to you.
I’m glad he, as a straight man, was willing to speak on this 🙏🏽
