But his justification for the length of his most recent film, Killers of the Flower Moon, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser, and Jesse Plemons drew everyone’s attention. Although Scorsese made it clear that they weren’t aiming to generate a blockbuster with this AppleTV+ film, he urged that people ought to watch it on a large screen in order to fully appreciate it.

“People say it’s three hours, but come on, you can sit in front of the TV and watch something for five hours.” He further continued, “Also, there are many people who watch theater for 3.5 hours. There are real actors on stage, you can’t get up and walk around. You give it that respect, give cinema some respect.”
So, Scorsese is encouraging everyone to give Killers of the Flower Moon a chance in theaters when it releases on October 20th.
