“There’s still a chance”: Marvel Reportedly Haven’t Discussed Recasting Jonathan Majors’ Kang
Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania’s Kang the Conqueror appears to lose out in real life as well! The difficult period in the life of actor Jonathan Majors began last month.
According to reports, because of the assault and harassment allegations, his talent management company, Entertainment 360 has distanced itself from the actor. Majors was the next antagonist in the high-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the future of his role appears to be waning.
For the unversed, Majors was charged with harassment, and domestic violence after he reportedly hit his alleged girlfriend on March 25. The actor’s career will suffer greatly if the accusations are found to be true. According to reports, the woman’s head and neck had minor wounds.
Fans of the 33-year-old actor, who plays Kang The Conqueror, are now speculating about whether Marvel will step in to recast his character in the Multiverse Saga after the actor’s major letdown.
Will the MCU Recast Jonathan Majors?
In light of Jonathan Majors‘ arrest in New York City for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Deadline reports that Marvel has not discussed recasting Jonathan Majors (Kang) in upcoming MCU projects, such as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Majors has also been dropped by The Lede Company PR Firm The actor had previously enjoyed great success with both Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III. However, both the above-mentioned drops appear to be in reaction to the arrest and alleged charges.
Since then, rumors have also circulated that Marvel Studios is considering its options for other actors to take Majors’ place as Kang. But according to Deadline, there have been “zero conversations” yet about changing the actor.
According to recent reports, Disney as a whole and Marvel have both remained completely silent regarding anything pertaining to the controversy surrounding Majors and his arrest for an alleged assault in New York City.
Fans React to Speculations Concerning the Actor
However, it is important to note that neither Disney nor Marvel have made any statements regarding the alleged assault or the arrest, which was widely reported and even resulted in the removal of Majors’ U.S. Army advertisement.
On March 25, Jonathan Majors was detained in connection with an alleged domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. Authorities stated that the unidentified victim was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck.” The New York City D.A. has charged Majors with several counts of harassment and assault; the actor is scheduled to appear before a judge on May 8.
Fans are eager to learn the outcome as well. And it is evident from their constant social media tweets. “LETS GOOOO THERE STILL A CHANCE,” one fan tweeted in good faith.

Next week, Marvel Studios should be expected to follow suit, rather than the failed first meeting, in dropping Jonathan Majors because of the charges against him. I think Disney should hold a solo meeting to drop Jonathan Majors from his role of Kang the Conqueror?

Kang is featured in the upcoming Loki season 2 trailer, which will be available in a few weeks. Majors has not been recast, according to reports, and he appears prominently in the upcoming trailer. Additionally, his scenes have not been removed from the eagerly awaited promotional content for Loki season 2 either.
Marvel may need to make a wise choice to avoid backlash because Kang will be an essential character in connecting the dots in the following two Avengers films. Majors has already finished filming his scenes for Loki’s second season, but he reportedly won’t start filming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty for “quite some time.”
