As Marvel Studio prepares for its upcoming series Echo, it has come to light recently that the series was supposed to release earlier had it not been for the ‘unreleasable’ way the whole thing turned out.

Recently producer Kevin Feige announced the new date which has been postponed to the 29th of November this year from the previous summer release plan. Rumor has it as film critic Jeff Sneider shared that the postponement happened as there is a lot to reshoot. And it seems to be a result of production issues after which the whole series ended up being a complete mess.

Marvel Studios Upcoming Disney+ Series Had To Undergo Re-Shooting

Last year it was announced by Marvel studio producer Kevin Feige that their upcoming Disney+ show Echo would be released in the summer of 2023. However, more recently Feige came out with a new date which has pushed the release of the show to November of this year.

With this new development in the original plan, film critic Jeff Sneider recently shared while guests appearing on The Hot Mic Show the reason behind the postponement.

According to him the final production of the series had been a total mess and this reportedly led Feige to decide on redoing everything front he start. Sneider said,

So they talked about cutting it down to four episodes or six in post. Then they ended up reshooting it.”

Originally 8 episodes had already been shot but the producer felt the whole thing was ‘unreleasable’. Moreover, instead of releasing an episode weekly, the plan this time around is to release everything at the same time on Disney+, which is set to be on the 29th of November this year. And although fans have to wait for a while it is assured that Feige wants it to be much better than its previous form so it will ultimately be a treat for the fans.

Marvel Studio’s Echo is a story that revolves around a Native American woman named Maya Lopez played by Alqua Cox. The upcoming series will explore the origins of the Echo. Her character is known for possessing great and various martial art skills.

She is furthermore a supporting character to another Marvel hero Daredevil. However, the series is centered on Lopez’ story where she returns to her native place and ends up embracing her family and community to move forward in life.

Echo will be available for streaming on Disney+ on the 29th Of November this year.
