“They really don’t know what they’re talking about”: Kelly Ripa’s Daughter is Embarrassed of Her Parents’ Musical Knowledge as She Kick-Starts Singing Career
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are as proud as they can be as they watch one of their children start her music career. The 52-year-old hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark honored their daughter, Lola Consuelos for recently graduating from New York University.
The couple enjoys the debut song by their daughter that was released last year!
In a last year’s interview with PEOPLE, their 21-year-old daughter revealed that her famous parents were the first to hear her single, Paranoia Silverlining. During an interview with Access Hollywood last month, Ripa also discussed her daughter’s music career.
“We have no musical talent between the three of us,” She said, referring to herself, her husband, and her oldest son. But she (Lola Consuelos) undoubtedly possesses enough talent for all of us, the pleased mother of three remarked. “I think that’s in her future.”
The Live with Kelly and Mark co-hosts also recently shared a sweet video collage of their daughter’s graduation ceremony scenes.
Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Honor Daughter’s NYU Graduation
Given that the recent episode of their talk show was pre-recorded, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were present at the grand commencement ceremony on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium in New York. Their eldest son was also in attendance.
Following in the footsteps of her elder brother, Michael Consuelos, who studied filmmaking and graduated from NYU, Lola Consuelos also majored in music and production. Michael Consuelos graduated from NYU a year ago. The aspiring actor and director shared images from the event on his Instagram Stories, showing off how big the crowd was. He sweetly wrote:
“Congrats, poopsy!” “I dunno where you are in the crowd so you’re just gonna assume you’re in the crowd.”
The Paranoia Silverlining singer, who recently returned home after spending a few months in London as part of a study abroad program, is probably going to make a name in the music business.
When the aspiring musician dropped her debut single, Paranoia Silverlining, last year, she displayed the skills she had learned in the classroom. She previously explained to Billboard in an interview about her debut album, why she wants to try her hand at becoming a professional musician:
“I’ve always loved music and I’ve always loved singing. I think a lot of artists would understand that finding your sound is a really difficult thing, and this was a song that I felt like sounded like me finally.”
Proud Parents Promote Their Daughter Singing Career
In her last year’s interview, the aspiring singer claimed that her parents were the first to hear the song, and they showed their support before it was released. Lola Consuelos said of the song, featuring Jo Jo, “They loved it.”
Additionally, she claimed to “love” the fact that her famous parents publicly supported her on social media. She also noted that despite her parents’ occupation, music is the one subject they seem to know nothing about.
“They really don’t know what they’re talking about once when it comes to music. So it’s very sweet to see them do their posts here and there and their little videos. They made a music video yesterday in the pool!”
She referred to a video that Kelly Ripa and her husband shared on her social media accounts to promote her daughter’s song’s release (last year).
Lola Consuelos’ debut song, Paranoia Silverlining, is produced by Tim K, mixed by Tyler Scott, and mastered by Dale Becker.
