Things In No Time To Die That Will Leave You Surprised
Daniel Craig received a lot of praise and appreciation for his work as James Bond and his tenure finally came to an end after the much-delayed arrival of No Time to Die. But this was quite different compared to all the previous Bond Actors and Daniel Craig’s last film as Bond felt like a true finale and closed all the ends and rightly concluded his journey.
No Time To Die is great as any Bond movie but what makes it different is the fact that there are more surprising twists in the film. And it is jam-packed with everything; deaths, double-crossing agents, and things no Bond movie has done.
1. James Bond Has A Daughter
Léa Seydoux reprised her role as Dr. Madeleine Swann (she appeared in Spectre) and that made her a rare Bond girl who has appeared in more than just one movie. At the beginning of the film, Bond is under the impression that Madeleine has betrayed him to Blofeld and ends things with her, and the movie movies forward by a few years.
The plot then brings him back to Madeleine and Bond comes to know that she has a daughter, Mathilde, who he thinks is his child. But Madeleine denies it. Finally, towards the end, Madeleine reveals that Bond is Madeleine’s father. This was a bold move by the makers since Bond is always shown as a bachelor.
2. James Bond Dies!
This was hands down the biggest surprise in No Time to Die. Fans had already come up with a theory for the movie, and maybe they did give it away slyly since they openly publicized it as Craig’s last James Bond film. But the fact Eon actually killed him off was a big thing. James Bond has been around for more than half a century and no one has ever had the guts to kill Bong on-screen.
A character who has been able to escape such life-threatening situations so many times, Bond needed a change and No TIne to Die gives the viewers exactly that.
3. Felix Died Way Before Than We Expected Him To!
Felix Leiter is another recurring character in the Bond franchise from all eras. He is Bond’s CIA contact who gives him all the important information. Jeffrey Wright’s Felix didn’t make an appearance in Skyfall and Spectre so the fans were excited to see him with Bond in No Time to Die.
It was amazing to see Felix again but then he was killed off way earlier than we thought. He tracks down “retired” Bond and gave him a new mission but then he was killed by his own double-crossing sidekick.
4. Ana De Armas’ Had A “Cameo”
Ana de Armas is a rising actress and has previously worked with Craig in Knives Out, so many of us assumed her character would play a major role in the film. She plays Paloma who is a CIA agent but her role turned out to be a camera appearance since she showed up in only one sequence.
But even though she has lesser screen time, she did make a long-lasting impression in the film. And Ana did a great job portraying the character which fans aren’t forgetting for a long time.
5. Billy Magnussen Turned Out To Be A Bad Guy
Billy Magnussen (portrayed by Logan Ash) was introduced as comic relief in No Time to Die. He smiles too much and is quite likable which makes him gain everyone’s trust. He doesn’t even seem to be a person who would double-cross anyone.
But, he murders Felix and reveals that he is conspiring with the villain.
