‘This Is Bullsh*t’: James Gunn Appalled By Con-Men Deceiving MCU With Fake Casting Calls
The whole Guardians team is back for another go-around. The upcoming intergalactic threequel might mark the end of this iteration of the crazy space heroes, having been teased by director James Gunn as the darkest movie of the trilogy. The director also teased that MCU fans will get to see some similar faces from Phase 3 for example Adam Warlock (Will Poulter). There’s still time for this film to hit the world. Yet, someone else is using the name of the franchise to make some opportunities out of it (especially targeting the non-MCU fans).

This Is Bullsh*t – James Gunn
Gunn weighed in on the recent fake casting call posted on Instagram. The Instagram Story for casting calls, uploaded by @nine9dotcom, claims to be for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but turns out it was just a scam to get money from people trying to get an acting gig in the MCU.
To this, Gunn tweeted:
Okay, this is disgusting. People should beware of companies like @Nine9dotCOM, ripping off people & taking advantage of their dreams. Once again, this casting call is bullshit: we finished shooting a month ago.

And this is what a fan replied:
Even worse they’re hosting regular mass zoom calls to get people to pay them 99$ plus monthly service fees to have opportunities for GoTG. They’re getting people to pay live while pressuring people on the call who aren’t sending in payments.
The Casting Call Out
While the response to this story has been mostly positive, we do understand that there are a few readers who feel differently. The world-famous director is helping fans to stay away from such cases. Everyone dreams to become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel Studios. However, some people and organizations always look forward to making money out of people’s passion. That being said, there must be 100s of such schemes out there and people must report those immediately, no matter what, even if they seem to be 100% legit and fair.

Although it was revealed not too long ago that the filming for the upcoming movie is about to commence, this doesn’t mean others will not try to use insider information to their advantage in the future. But let’s hope it doesn’t happen again.
