Shakira is embarking on a new phase in her life after splitting from a soccer player, Gerard Piqué. The Colombian singer lived with her two sons and her ex-boyfriend in the Spanish city of Barcelona.

This may have influenced her decision to relocate. The singer recently moved to Miami with her children, Sasha and Milan Piqué Mebarak. The transfer of the Colombian will reportedly happen in stages. She will first depart with her kids, followed by her parents William Mebarak and Nidia Ripoll two weeks later.
The Colombian singer has made her plans months after splitting from the former Spanish footballer. Finally, on April 2, 2023, she set off for her new home in Miami, where she had lived before beginning her relationship with the father of her children.
Shakira Leaves For Barcelona With Her Kids ‘in Search Of Their Happiness’
Shakira has decided to relocate to the United States with her two children, following the scandalous split from Gerard Piqué. They were living in Barcelona, Spain. According to reports, the 46-year-old singer is considering returning to Miami, Florida with her kids. The move was prompted by rumors that the father of her two children has an alleged affair. Piqué is at the moment, openly dating Clara Chia Martí.
Shakira shared a few memorable words about the city, recalling both her best and worst moments, as a farewell note on her Twitter account (where she has more than 53 million followers).
According to a statement she made, “I established in Barcelona to give stability to my children, the same stability that we are looking for in another corner of the earth alongside friends, family, and the sea.”
She thanked everyone for their support, for wiping away her tears, for giving her inspiration, and for helping her grow. She also owed gratitude to the Spanish audience, who showed her warmth and loyalty. “This is just a see you soon, and like my father used to say, see you in the curves.”

She Hopes To Begin A New Chapter Of Life With Her Children

But she had chosen to remain in Barcelona due to her family and children. Nevertheless, everyone is thrilled for the singer to embark on a new journey in Miami.
The Chantaje singer uploaded a photo of the plane’s window to her Instagram Story and wrote, “But things are not always as we dreamed them. Sometimes we run but we never get there. Don’t doubt that I’ll always be here.”
Shakira was moved to write a song as a public expression of her feelings following the breakup.
The Colombian singer-songwriter worked with Argentine DJ, Bizarrap on Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, in which she made fun of the father of her two kids. Shakira even turned the popular song into an anthem of woman empowerment.
