Tom Cruise’s Daughter Suri Reportedly Only Cares About What Mom Katie Holmes Thinks About Her: “Katie takes great pride in her”
Tom Cruise’s daughter is currently applying for colleges but he is not involved in that process at all. 16-year-old Suri is estranged from her father for many years now and lives with her mother Katie Holmes. Cruise’s daughter will be turning 17 next month and is already planning out her future and what course she wants to pursue. And while college is a decision that both the parents are usually involved in, only Holmes is the one helping her daughter out while Cruise maintains his distance.

Suri is reportedly planning to go to a New York-based fashion college and has started applying as well, according to The Mirror.
While Katie Holmes is a big part of her daughter’s life and is also involved in her college application process, Tom Cruise has been a reportedly absent father since 2013, a year after his divorce from Holmes. Daily Mail reported that the father and daughter are not in touch of any kind.
An insider shared,
“Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade. She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life.”
The Cruise-Holmes divorce settlement mentioned that the Top Gun: Maverick star agreed to give his ex-wife $400,000 in child support until Suri turned 18. Additionally, he also claimed to pay for all her expenses including, “medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs”.

The 16-year-old is reportedly “leaning towards” pursuing fashion at Fordham University, as she plans on studying in New York itself. A source revealed,
“Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective.”
According to reports, it was the Batman Begins star who ended her marriage with the Mission Impossible 7 star when she decided to leave Scientology, which was and continues to be Cruise’s religion. Her leaving the religion initially caused a rift between the spouses and elicited concern in Holmes about raising her daughter as a Scientologist. Eventually, the differences were irreconcilable and the marriage ended.
