Tom Cruise is very pleased to be attending the new British Monarch’s coronation ceremony, speculatively at the request of Prince William and Kate Middleton. King Charles III is set to take the throne following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and the world is watching as the British monarchy undergoes a historic transition. His coronation is just around the corner and although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not be in attendance at the concert, the people who would be there are making a splash.

Big names such as Winnie the Pooh, Pussycat Dolls lead Nicole Scherzinger, and America’s sweetheart Tom Cruise will be present at the glorious concert on the grounds of Windsor Castle, which will be held the day after the most awaited royal ceremony. And he most certainly did not disappoint them and came to the rescue. The fact that the two, the future King of England and the Mission Impossible star, are friends might come as a shocker to most people out there. But turns out, in reality, the two personalities share a lot in common. Statements made by Cruise on the Top Gun: Maverick London Premier reflected further on that. He said,

“We have a lot in common–We both love England and we’re both aviators, we both love flying.”

Prince William is the president of the BAFTA, therefore people are speculating the bond between the two celebrities grew while attending numerous movie events together. The love for fluttering around freely in the sky also played a major role in their friendship. Cruise has therefore maintained his ties to the UK, not only by attending the BAFTAs, but also by filming movies such as Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout in London. He has also been a vocal supporter of the British film industry. Therefore, did not mind jumping in when the opportunity presented itself for attending yet another monumental royal event.
