Tom Hiddleston’s ‘Loki’ Had 2 Hidden References To Thanos Actor Josh Brolin And Harrison Ford’s Classic Films
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is like a PhD holder in dropping Easter eggs. Also, They’re all about time traveling, loving it to the moon and back. Loki 2 is a prominent example of this. Every Marvel fan will agree that Marvel never forgets its movies and, through references, pays tribute to them when possible. It’s a cool way to express love and gratitude towards the movies and the actors who rocked them.

A Deja Vu Moment in Loki 2 from a Josh Brolin Classic
After Loki earned the love of fans, some of the die-hard ones noticed a few underlying references in the series. According to the fans, these references take all of us back to the early and mid-1980s. In the series, through some particular details, Marvel seems to have paid tribute to two classic Hollywood movies. Although it is not official and speculation instead, still the odds are making enough sense.
In 1985, an English movie named The Goonies, starring Josh Brolin as Brandon and Ke Huy Quan as Data, was released. Ke Huy Quan played the role of a technical expert in The Goonies at the mere age of 14. The beauty of cinema brings both the boys back together in Loki, where Josh Brolin is playing the role of Thanos and Ke Huy Quan is playing the role of Ouroboros. Well, let us fill you in on the scoop – Thanos bit the dust in the MCU, and he’s got zero ties to the Loki series.

In the series, Ouroboros is again a technical expert alongside Josh Brolin. Brolin enjoys this déjà vu and finds it as a hilarious implication. Even after 38 years of gap, the memories seem to be just as fresh as before, and the actors and crew are quite jolly about it.
Loki 2 Had a Reference to Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones 2
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, released in 1984, was an action/adventure movie starring Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones and Ke Huy Quan as Short Round. In the movie, Ke Huy Quan was wearing a white cap with a black extension at the front.
What a pleasant surprise that the exact same cap can be seen lying on the table in season 2, episode 5 of the Loki series. Ke Huy Quan, who is playing the role of Oroborous in Loki, still has possession of the same cap that he had 39 years back. Fans came up with a beautiful concept regarding the cap as both the franchises are now under Disney, the cap might be a heartfelt tribute to the classic 1984 movie Indiana Jones 2.
Loki Season 2 is available for streaming on Disney+.
