Marvel’s Daredevil is one of the most acclaimed superhero TV series and was released back when Netflix was still in charge of the superhero series. Much to the chagrin of the show’s die-hard fans, it was canceled after just 3 seasons. The show could have been renewed for more seasons since there was so much more of the character’s story to tell.

Daredevil follows the story of the Marvel character Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer by the day and a masked superhero by the night. In the series, Matt Murdock is portrayed by Charlie Cox, who has become synonymous with the character due to his captivating performance.

For those who wish to revisit their favorite superhero series, here is a list of the five best episodes of the show.

A New Napkin (Season 3, Episode 13)

The finale of the series is probably one of the best in the history of superhero shows. The episode saw things going awry for everyone involved as Daredevil, Agent Dex, and Kingpin had a rather unforgettable battle. Dex turned against Wilson Fisk at his wedding after being betrayed by Kingpin. Meanwhile, Daredevil was doing his best to get justice however he could.

Dex was seriously injured by the end of the ordeal. The flashing of the Bullseye logo in his eye while he was in surgery was a very smart move as it gave fans hope for another season, only for the series to be brutally forfeited.

Blindsided (Season 3, Episode 4)

In this episode of the third season, the Man Without Fear is seen at his lowest. That one anxiety-inducing 10-minute one-take scene is probably one of the best in the entire run of the show. It perfectly captures the lengths Matt is willing to go to keep Fisk in prison. Kingpin, who is always one step ahead, manages to turn the entire prison into Daredevil’s personal hell, and it is the latter’s frantic escape that makes the scene so good.

The Devil You Know (Season 3, Episode 6)

The final season of the show evidently has some of the best episodes of the entire show. The Devil You Know is counted among the best of the season due to the highly anticipated fight between Daredevil and Dex. Kingpin takes good advantage of Matt’s vulnerability to have Dex impersonate the superhero and wreak havoc in the form of a bloody massacre at the New York Bulletin while taking out a witness.

Seven Minutes In Heaven (Season 2, Episode 9)

The scene in which Frank Castle aka the Punisher takes down an entire cell block of prisoners trying to kill him (thanks to Kingpin) in Seven Minutes in Heaven easily takes the cake for the goriest and most chaotic episode of the show. The episode, known for its ‘hallway fight scene’, has a special place in the hearts of the fans because it features one of the greatest moments between the two antagonists of the show.

Daredevil (Season 1, Episode 13)

Much like the finale episode of the last season of the show, the finale episode of the first season was also highly acclaimed. The episode featured Daredevil’s battle with Kingpin. Additionally, Kingpin, who was a self-proclaimed hero in his own story until this episode, comes to terms with the fact that he is a villain. The episode also saw Matt Murdock realize his full potential as Daredevil.

All three seasons of Daredevil are available for streaming on Disney+.
