The first Toy Story film and its sequels have a special place in many viewers’ hearts as they were the first fully computer-animated feature film and the catalyst that ultimately made Pixar a household name. It’s been 28 years since fans first met Buzz Lightyear and Woody, voiced by Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, respectively.

However, the latest reports state that the fan-favorite character might not return for Toy Story 5.

Andy reportedly is not part of Toy Story 5

After the groundbreaking release of Toy Story in 1995, Pixar has established itself as the industry leader in animated pictures. With the use of stunning CGI, it produced convincing and realistic settings that presented the stories of emotionally relevant individuals that both adults and children could enjoy.

The story of Andy’s favorite toy, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, has left fans in awe after the four Toy Story films. The ending of Toy Story 4 broke viewers’ hearts. In February, Disney Studio announced the reboot of the potential follow-up to a popular story. Pixar boss confirmed that Woody and Buzz Lightyear would return for Toy Story 5. Since then, rumors hinting that a major character may potentially return have excited fans. 

However, at this stage, it is not confirmed whether Andy, who started the story will return for Toy Story 5. Many commentators may be getting worked up about a plot aspect that may never even occur because their fan-favorite character might not be coming back.

There have been reports that Andy will be the focus of Toy Story 5. This movie will take us back to where it all began. To the crew, Buzz, and Woody’s true owners’ story. But the return of Andy is not yet confirmed, and there are reports that he may not be part of the new installment.

The Toy Story franchise consistently delivered outstanding sequels, with Toy Stories 2, 3, and 4 turning out to be the best after all. And now rumors are circulating that there could be another addition- Toy Story 5 has exited fans, but there are some who are criticizing it. They are confused about what’s in store for them in the new installment after delivering a satisfying ending in Toy Story 4.

Toy Story 5 announcement left fans puzzled

Toy Story 4 has many fans believing that the movie has provided the perfect conclusion to the series. With Woody leaving Bonnie and Buzz to go on this new adventure with Bo Peep and realizing that he is more than just a toy for someone else. However, with the announcement of Disney making a new film to add to the franchise, fans are worried the studio is going to bleed the franchise dry.

Toy Story 3 and 4 perfectly wrapped the series with its emotional ending leaving everyone in tears. It made $1.073 billion at the box office. Bob Iger announced that Toy Story 5 was in development earlier this year, and while it currently doesn’t have a release date, fans are begging Disney to leave the beloved franchise alone.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen’s recent meeting raised rumors about the possibility of a potential sequel. On the other hand, many of them are so intrigued by Woody and Buzz’s future reunion that they are eagerly awaiting what lies ahead.
