Tucker Carlson Lawyers Up to Fight $22B Rupert Murdoch and Fox News After Network Betrayed Him With Wrongful Termination
One of the most renowned hosts and commentators Tucker Carlson was fired by The Fox News channel. In April 2023 Carlson was fired by the channel where he worked for so many years. People appreciated Carlson’s on the channel but he was also grilled by the people for many of his comments.
The termination of Carlson started making waves on the internet right after the news came out to the world that the 53-year-old commentator is no more part of the Fox News Channel.
Tucker Carlson is about to sue Fox News and its Founder
Tucker Carlson who was a part of the Fox News for almost seven years was fired last month. As per reports, this untimely departure of Carlson is because of his misogynistic comments and statements toward Abby Grossberg. She had filed a lawsuit in which she mentioned she faced a hostile work environment and sexism while she was the senior booking producer on the show.
Reportedly, Carlson was fired by the founder of the Fox News Channel Rupert Murdoch, and his son Fox’s CEO Lachlan Murdoch. Even though Carlson and Murdoch had an excellent relationship, he did nothing to keep his job at the News Channel. Following his departure from the station, Carlson has since filed a lawsuit against the Fox station, accusing the network of fraud and violation of the contract.
Reportedly Tucker Carlson will be launching his own show
The non-compete clause in Carlson’s contract is now null and void, according to his attorneys and the notice that has been delivered to Fox News, therefore he is free to launch his own show. Carlson will continue to receive compensation from Fox News under the terms of his contract, which runs through January 2025, according to the letter. The letter by Axios also said,
“Fox broke an agreement with Carlson not to leak his private communications to the media and not to use Carlson’s private messages ‘to take any adverse employment action against him.”
The letter further reads
“Fox broke promises not to settle with Dominion Voting Systems ‘in a way which would indicate wrongdoing’ on the part of Carlson and not to take any actions in a settlement that would harm Carlson’s reputation.”
Carlson’s departure from Fox News has caused financial harm to the News channel as well. As Carlson’s talk show Tucker Carlson Tonight was one of the most viewed talk shows on the Fox News Channel. Since the host’s departure, the ratings of many shows on Fox News Channel have gone down. Reportedly, the host is planning to launch his own show, which will not be connected to any news channel.
