“Vin and I put all the past behind us”: Dwayne Johnson Breaks Silence On Ending Legendary Fast And Furious Feud That Made Him A Franchise Pariah
Dwayne Johnson is one of the few who has successfully made a transition from wrestling to acting. The former WWE star has been a part of several commercially successful franchises, including Fast and Furious. He portrayed the role of Luke Hobbs in Fast Five.
Johnson then went on to reprise the role in the sixth, seventh, and eighth installments of the franchise. However, his off-screen relationship with Vin Diesel, the lead actor in the franchise, started to go haywire. After a point, Johnson decided to leave the franchise for good.
Dwayne Johnson Is Returning To The Fast And Furious Franchise
Dwayne Johnson‘s career got a boost after he starred in Fast Five. The franchise also took a sharp turn from being about street races to focusing more on espionage. But fans were disheartened after The Rock left the franchise post The Fate of the Furious.
Dwayne Johnson says him and Vin Diesel have squashed the beef.

Recently, however, the Rampage actor announced that he will be returning to the franchise after nearly six years. He will be doing a stand-alone project. He wrote on Twitter,
“The next Fast & Furious film you’ll see the legendary lawman in will be the HOBBS movie that will serve as a fresh, new chapter & set up for FASTX: Part II“
The 51-year-old actor further elaborated on his big return, while clarifying that his feud with Diesel has ended. Johnson said,
“Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love”
The Jumanji actor was also in a spin-off action film from the franchise titled Hobbs & Shaw, along with Jason Statham. The franchise will conclude with its 12th installment after Fast X since the studio decided to release the penultimate film in two parts.
What Was The Feud Between Johnson And Vin Diesel?
In August 2016, Johnson wrote a post on Instagram, which has since been deleted, where he referred to an unnamed cast member of the Fast and Furious franchise as “candy a*ses.” People quickly figured out that he was talking about Vin Diesel.
A few months later, the former wrestler wrote a post thanking the cast members of the franchise. However, he did not mention Diesel. Later on, Michelle Rodriguez admitted that there were tensions between the two men. But, she said that people need to set aside their differences to make a film.
