WB Eyes to Milk Ocean’s Franchise After Reportedly Linking Margot Robbie’s Prequel Directly With George Clooney and Sandra Bullock
Margot Robbie has seen a meteoric rise to fame in Hollywood. Thanks to her talent and her ability to embody a wide variety of characters, she has been applauded by many. Most recently, Robbie was seen staring in Barbie which also happens to be the highest-grossing movie of this year ($1.4 billion).
In the movie, Margot Robbie starred alongside Ryan Gosling. It’s safe to say that the combined star power of these two helped greatly in making Barbie the success it turned out to be and it looks like Warner Bros. is looking to make full use of its power again by reuniting the two.

As reported by Showbiz, Warner Bros. is looking to reunite Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling for Ocean’s prequel. The heist movie will see the two actors play the role of Danny Ocean, the character played by George Clooney in Ocean’s 11, 12, and 13. Robbie and Gosling will reportedly teach their son and daughter Debbie Ocean (played by Sandra Bullock) how to steal from the rich in the upcoming installment.
While nothing is confirmed at the moment, the upcoming installment of Ocean’s will be set in the 1960s. It is worth noting that the first-ever Ocean’s movie was released back in 1960.
Margot Robbie responds to rumors of a potential Barbie sequel
Considering the fact that Barbie became the highest-grossing movie of the year, it wouldn’t be surprising to know that the makers are planning to make a sequel. However, that is not the case with Barbie’s makers. According to Margot Robbie, the chances of a sequel for the movie look slim at the moment. During an interview Associated Press, Robbie spoke about how they put everything they had into making the movie. While suggesting that they did not plan to make Barbie into a franchise by making a series of films and said:
“I think we put everything we had into this one. We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something. [Director] Greta [Gerwig] put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.”
That said, fans should certainly keep their expectations low regarding a potential sequel of Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, instead, they could see the lovely duo star in Ocean’s upcoming movie.
