The franchise has expanded into massive action films with physics-defying automobile stunts. Every time the Fast Family encounters a new, potent threat in a movie, Dominic Toretto inevitably engages to save his loved ones. In the new addition Fast X, the villain Dante Reyes, played by Jason Momoa, who relishes pain seems like a terrifying antagonist. Momoa recently gave some insights about his planned fight with Diesel in the 11th installment of the franchise.

Jason Momoa entered the Fast and Furious franchise as Dante Reyes, the cold-blooded baddie. Momoa’s character is seeking revenge for his father, Hernan Reyes’s death in Fast Five. The Aquaman actor is considered the most terrifying villain of the franchise.

Over the years, the franchise has featured some extremely terrible antagonists like Cypher, who has shown to be cunning and vicious in their attacks on Dominic Toretto’s loved ones. But the 43-year-old actor’s character is completely different.

The new movie Fast X doesn’t feature any fight scene between Reyes and Toretto, making fans curious about a final face-off in the sequel. Speaking about this, Momoa shared some insights to Screen Rant.

The Braven actor said,

“We had a big fight scene planned for me and [Dom], and we’ve seen that we’ve done that. They don’t need to get into the showdown of fighting each other. I think it’s way more interesting.”

The actor spoke about his character and how he is always a step ahead of Toretto and relishes pain.

The Dune star explained how Reyes got the upper hand. He said,

“He constantly has the upper hand on Dom. And it’s not that we don’t want to see them fight because that showdown’s going to come and that’ll be violent, especially with someone who just adores pain and is probably already dead inside. It’s scary when someone’s getting off on that pain.”

With a sequel planned for Fast X, the big showdown between these characters isn’t happening till 2025, when the sequel is anticipated to release.
