According to the rumors in tinsel town, Vin Diesel who plays the main protagonist Dominic Toretto is ending the franchise after the tenth installment Fast X. 

Vin Diesel Will Not End The Fast And Furious Franchise

The XXX actor Vin Diesel, has been the face of the Fast and Furious franchise ever since the early 2000s. The Babylon A.D. actor is definitely not ending the reputed franchise. He went on to surprise his fans at the Cinema Con with the announcement of the upcoming 11th installment of the franchise which is slated to release in 2025. The actor said-

“This summer is only the beginning of Fast X,” Vin Diesel announced. “And with all of your effort and with all of your love and the fact that you are a part of our family, Fast X will continue. And after this explosive summer, I will have the privilege of coming to you for Part 2 in 2025.

The franchise has added reputed stars from Hollywood. The antagonist Dante Reyes is played by the Aquaman actor Jason Momoa, and Marvel actor Brie Larson plays Tess. The trailers of the Fast And Furious franchise have been loved and appreciated by fans globally. The thrilling stunts and the old and new faces of the franchise created waves in the industry and fans cannot wait for the release of Fast X. 

The Bloodshot actor expressed his gratitude towards his family, i.e the audience. He said-

“This is our family, the audience is our family, and as we were building towards this achievement, we attracted directors who brought their own magic to the saga… I’m proud to say for nearly two decades the Fast films have been the most successful film of every one of our directors.”

The eleventh installment is the second part of the multi starrer Fast X directed by Louis Leterrier, who replaced director Justin Lin.

Vin Diesel’s Fast X Set’s The Vibe At Cinema Con

Vin Diesel had already set the vibe of CinemaCon with his presence. The audience went crazy with the actor’s presence at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The Dominic Toretto of the Fast and Furious franchise went on to thank the audience and even thanked the owners of the theatre for their extensive work with the Fast And Furious franchise over the years. The actor said-

“Thank you for riding with me for a quarter of a century,” said Vin Diesel. “I like this room better than the Oscars. And you know I really mean that…because all those people who are sitting in the audience in the Oscars, are only there because of you.”

The core theme of the Fast And Furious movie revolves around family and friendship. Vin Diesel thanked the audience and expressed his gratitude towards the franchise fans as the Fast And Furious universe is nothing without his family i.e his fans.

The actor expressed-

“I’m proud to say for two decades, the Fast films have been the most successful film of every one of our director’s careers,” the actor said. “Again — that’s only because of you.”

The tenth installment of the franchise, Fast X is set to release on May 19 worldwide.
