“We’re all ready”: John Travolta’s Wild Hogs Co-star Claims the Cast is Ready to Reprise Their Roles in a Sequel to the 2007 Comedy
Nostalgia is a funny feeling. It brings unparalleled joy with an undertone of bitterness to it. And yet, the human mind seeks it. Some movies become like engines bringing on the train of nostalgia. One such film is the 2007 comedy Wild Hogs.
Over the years, the film has been loved unanimously. The probability of a sequel has always been a topic of discussion. One of the actors has caused anticipation and excitement among fans with his recent statement on the possibility of the cast returning for a sequel of the film.
William H. Macy On Returning For A Wild Hogs Sequel
On the red carpet premiere of Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, William H. Macy was asked about the possibility of a Wild Hogs 2. The Deadline Hollywood interviewer asked the star:
“Can we demand a Wild Hogs 2?”
Macy answered:
“Yes you can look into that camera and tell them ‘where’s wild hogs 2?’ There’s a rumour out there that they’re thinking about it. It’s Disney. I am ready, John is ready, we’re all ready.”
Macy alludes to a rumor that Disney may be working on the idea of a Wild Hogs sequel. The tale of four middle-aged friends leaving their monotonous lives to start a motorbike adventure has captivated audiences for ages.

The film stars the dashing squad of John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, and William H. Macy. And a sequel would be more than welcome within the fan community. However, completing his point the actor further adds:
“Martin wants to ride and Tim hasn’t been on a motorcycle since we shot the thing. Nor have I.”
Seems like even after almost two decades since the original was shot, the cast is ready to make a return.
A Sequel to Wild Hogs Was Previously Cancelled
This is not the first time that talks of the Wild Hogs have been making rounds. The film had a highly anticipated sequel in the works within the year of its making. Set to be released in 2010, Wild Hogs: Bachelor Ride, was eventually canceled by Disney Studios. This step was taken due to some contractual issues.
The cancellation announcement saddened many fans back then. But Macy’s comments have started a wave of excitement. Surely, the chances of there being a Wild Hogs sequel are slim to none. But the film industry is an ever-evolving space, where things can always take a surprising route. Seeing the four actors sharing the screen again and being their wholesome selves will be nothing short of a treat, and a perfect slice of nostalgia.
Wild Hogs is available for streaming on Prime Video.
