Dakota Johnson’s Decision To Sign Off Her Talent Agency Raised Eyebrows In The Industry
According to a recent update by the famous media outlet Variety, Fifty Shades Of Grey actor Dakota Johnson bid goodbye to her talent agency WME for CAA a week after the trailer of Madame Web went up on YouTube. As Variety reported-
“Johnson’s conspicuous jump from WME to CAA in November – just days after a baffling first trailer debuted – raised industry eyebrows, along with a razz in her recent ‘SNL’ monologue describing the film as ‘like if AI generated your boyfriend’s perfect movie.'”
The Creative Artists Agency or CAA would be representing Johnson in almost every area including Tea Time Pictures, her production company. The Cha Cha Real Smooth actor was even present on a recent episode of Saturday Night Live.
Dakota Johnson-led Madame Web revolves around Cassandra Webb, a paramedic based in Manhattan who has clairvoyant abilities. On being forced to talk about her past, she establishes a relationship with three young women who are destined to have a powerful future, if only they can sustain a deadly present.
Madame Web features reputed actors like Dakota Johnson, Celeste O’Connor, Sydney Sweeney, Emma Roberts, and Isabela Merced.
Dakota Johnson Talks About Her Experience With CGI During The Filming Of Madame Web
Dakota Johnson will be playing the protagonist in the upcoming Marvel-backed project Madame Web. During a recent interview with the media outlet Entertainment Weekly, Dakota Johnson openly spoke about her experience working with the blue screen for CGI.
The Persuasion actor said-
“I’ve never really done a movie where you are on a blue screen, and there’s fake explosions going off, and someone’s going, ‘Explosion!’ and you act like there’s an explosion. That to me was absolutely psychotic. I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is going to be good at all! I hope that I did an OK job!’”
While talking about S.J. Clarkson, the director of Madame Web, Dakota Johnson even said that she works very hard and hasn’t taken her eyes off the project. She said-
“But I trusted [Clarkson]. She works so hard, and she has not taken her eyes off this movie since we started.”
The actor revealed that she has also performed stunts for Madame Web. While talking about her stunt driving work, the actor mentioned-
“I’m really good at it, it seems!” I mean, I can do some really wild things with a car. I drove an ambulance. I drove a taxicab. I drove everything in the movie — except for flying through the air and out of a building. But other than that, I’m like, ‘Watch out, Tom Cruise.’”
Madame Web arrives in theaters worldwide on February 14.
