Many fans quickly linked this controversial campaign with the recent Balenciaga campaign which received major backlash after it released pictures featuring children holding teddy bears dressed in BDSM-style harnesses. Another photograph featured a printed copy of what appeared to be the US Supreme Court decision on child p*rnography.

Due to the backlash, the fashion house had to issue an apology to the public regarding the same.

“We strongly condemn child abuse; it was never our intent to include it in our narrative… Balenciaga reiterates its sincere apologies for the offense we have caused.”

The latter’s controversial campaign linked Kim Kardashian with it as she is one of the muses and a longtime friend of the brand. Amid the controversy, many fans called out the socialite to address that. She eventually stated that she is now “re-evaluating” her relationship with the brand.
