“Wolverine isn’t Batman”: Marvel Fans Are Annoyed With New Features in Leaked Wolverine Gameplays
Recently, Insomniac Game’s lot of stuff was leaked from their upcoming Wolverine gameplay which revealed the major details of the game. Two separate footages were leaked on different Reddit threads which leaked the new feature along with the cast of the game which included Sabretooth, Mystique, Sunfire and another Marvel character Sinister, played by Troy Baker.
Wolverine is a fictional character from Marvel Comics who Insomniac Games adapts for a standalone game of the character for Play Station 5. Earlier, they also launched Spider-Man 2 for PS5 and featuring its long-running comic book mythology narrative. It was the sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and a follow-up to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020).
After the Spider-Man adaptation, Insomniac adapted Wolverine in their Marvel character’s games. Insomniac Games was founded in 1994 by Ted Price as Xtreme Software, which was renamed a year later.

Similarly, few fans reacted to the footage with dissatisfaction, where one fan recalls the X-Men movies, which he says were made better than the game.
I have a theory that the reason these new games have so much stealth is because they are afraid of their combat being seen for what it is, repetitive, boring, and overall uninteresting.

A fan defended the leaked footage spilling the facts from the Marvel comics, from which the Wolverine origins.
Wolverine is a predator/hunter, meaning he is going to collect things and investigate his prey. It's literally what he does in the comics. The man has undertaken stealth missions before and is known to be deadly with them.

The X user also mentioned that in the game, the player is given a task in which he or she is in a situation where the player needs to destroy their enemy to collect rewards which include trophies and some feathers.

In one of the two leaked videos on Reddit, Wolverine does some examination in Mystique’s house wearing a red checkered shirt. Mystique is a mutant with superhuman abilities. She is a shapeshifter and can mimic the voice and appearance of anyone.
Another leaked footage revealed the features of Wolverine and also showcased his original yellow suit, in which he was seen fighting with Hand soldiers using his sharp claws and use of weapons similar to ‘Katanas’ (a Japanese sword) were also visible in the footage. (Source: Reddit)
The game’s footage also showed a feature of playing Jean Grey, a mutant with psychic powers and also known as the most powerful mutant in the X-men series. Grey was also seen fighting with the Hand soldiers. ‘Hand’ is an organization of supervillains made up of mystical ninjas who are shown as the common enemy in the MCU television series Daredevil (2015-2018), The Defenders (2017) and also in their X-Men movies.
