Jennifer Lopez has always been one of the biggest names in the Hollywood industry. The star has always been in the media since she started appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on the sketch comedy television series. The dancer-turned-actress-turned-singer has also always been surrounded by controversy- a shady title or a news article she’s been trying to get rid of for ages. During a 2016 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she argued that she’s seen as difficult only because she’s a woman.

While Jennifer Lopez has always been labeled as difficult and shady, she has definitely made her place and justified the amount of fame she has garnered over the years. Speaking up about what she has been through and still goes through on a daily basis.
“People may now think I’m nice, but they still act surprised when I’m smart. It’s a man’s world, and truly, people in a business setting do not value a woman as much as a man.”
The actress said in an interview.
Even amidst all the controversy surrounding her, JLo has been speaking up about things since she’s been in the media. “I was always fascinated by how I could see [a man] being late or being belligerent to a crew and it being totally acceptable, meanwhile I’d show up 15 minutes late and be berated”
Jennifer Lopez’s love life
Lopez has always had a very open love life. She’s not afraid to admit how it has been a rollercoaster for her.
“For me, the relationship journey has been very up and down” The actress herself admitted during a 2019 interview. The actress has been associated with some of the biggest names in the industry and married 3 of them, including Ben Affleck. Lopez got engaged to Alex Rodriguez in 2019.
However, it was confirmed in 2021 that the couple was “working through some things”. Soon after that in April 2021, they announced their spilt; after which Lopez rekindled her romance with her ex, Ben Affleck.
Workplace track record
Everyone who’s had the honor of working with the actress doesn’t feel the same way about it. She’s been called hard to work with on numerous occasions, including having a bias towards working with Virgos for her backup dancers.
One of the major reasons might be the actress’ approach and open behavior with her co-workers. Workplace relationships are a tricky line to walk, but that has never deterred the actress.
“You always flirt with your co-stars, it’s harmless,” she said to Movieline in 1998. Clearly, the actress has had her experience with workplace relationships and still has faith in marriage. However, while it’s harmless for the actress, it’s nerve-wracking for the directors and the people involved as it ends up complicating things for everyone around if they don’t end well.
JLo deals with that by flirting with the directors too. “That’s the best way to deal with these bigwigs,” Lopez claimed when asked about her relationship with director Oliver Stone.
