Jennifer Aniston is a successful American producer and actress, famously known as Rachel Green from the Friends sitcom. Like most other Hollywood celebrities, Aniston also opened up about the different jobs she had to take up before getting a taste of success and, most importantly, how bad she was at those jobs. As both her parents were from an acting background, her father did not want her to face the never-ending rejections and instead chose law as a profession.

Her list of disastrous jobs is long, and it is good that she ended up in Hollywood instead.

Jennifer Aniston’s Acting Career

Jennifer Aniston shot to international fame as Rachel Green on the television sitcom Friends, which had a long run from 1994 to 2004. The actress has earned multiple awards for her part, and her career progressed in leaps and bounds since the 1990s. This also led her to be one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood.

Born in 1969 in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, Aniston discovered her interest in acting at 11. She performed in The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window by Lorraine Hansberry and Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov.

Jennifer Aniston’s first consistent TV role was on Molloy in 1990, which had a brief life span. The Edge and The Muddling Through were two of her failed television comedy series, followed by her massive hit series, Friends. It is also said that during the final season of Friends, Aniston took away a $1 million per episode paycheck.

The comedy film Bruce Almighty was a huge commercial success for Aniston, followed by the romantic comedy Along Came Polly. Her recent projects included Mother’s Day, Office Christmas Party, The Yellow Birds, Dumplin’, The Morning Show, and Friends: The Reunion.

Jennifer Aniston’s Previous Jobs

Jennifer Aniston’s career start could have been a more pleasant one or successful. Four of her television shows were unsuccessful and she was highly depressed over the failures. It was Warren Littlefield, the head of NBC entertainment who encouraged Aniston to continue giving her shots at acting and also helped her grab a role in Friends and the rest is history.

But before Aniston became a big name in the entertainment industry, she too struggled a lot and did odd jobs to survive the tough days. In 2019 Aniston shared during an interview that,  “I had moved away from home. I had been on six failed television shows. I waitressed for years in New York before I got anything. And I was a telemarketer selling time-shares in the Poconos. I didn’t make one sale. I was terrible at it. I was like, ‘Why do we have to call people at dinnertime?'”

Regarding her experience at these odd jobs she shared that her job as a waitress was the most disastrous one and shared, “I waited a lot of tables, and I wasn’t very good at that,” Aniston said. “I dropped more than one Alpine burger in customers’ laps, and you just do not want all of that Swiss cheese and mushrooms in your pants.”

Guess that Aniston was never made for these jobs.
