You Won’t Believe How Much Money Jamie Spears Has Allegedly Taken From Britney Spears in Her 14 Years of Conservatorship
Britney Spears is a well-known pop star in the music industry, who is recognized by people across the world. Despite her immense popularity, Spears’ personal life has been covered in controversies. In 2008, a conservatorship was established that granted her father, Jamie Spears, control over her finances and personal affairs.
However, previous disclosures suggest that the 70-year-old allegedly took advantage of this power and took large sums of money from his daughter’s estate, which included earnings from albums, and merchandise sales.
How Much Jamie Spears Allegedly Earned From Britney Spears?
For over a decade, Jamie Spears served as the conservator of his daughter, Britney’s estate, controlling her finances and personal affairs. Britney Spears spoke out against the arrangement, detailing the suffering she endured, including being forced to take medication against her will. She explained,
“Considering my family has lived off my conservatorship for 13 years, I won’t be surprised if one of them has something to say [against ending my conservatorship]. I just don’t like feeling like I work for the people who I pay.”

She pleaded with the court to end the conservatorship that had allowed her father to live off her career and her $60 million fortune.
During the more than 13 years that Jamie Spears had control over the Popstar, the songwriter paid him a monthly salary, provided office space, and gave him a cut of her celebrity earnings. The exact amount of money the father of two pocketed remains unknown, but he was paid at least $5 million before taxes since February 2008.
Court documents reviewed by the source revealed that the 41-year-old had to pay her father $16,000 each month since February 2009, totaling $2.4 million in compensation over 12 years.
In addition, the singer’s father reportedly received a 2.95% commission off the popstar’s The Femme Fatale Tour, earning at least $500,000.
Spears also paid nearly $300,000 for her father’s office rental and potentially millions in legal fees. The full extent of his alleged financial misconduct is unclear, but she has spoken out about the impact of the conservatorship on her life and career. And her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, is now working pro bono after being paid $4.2 million.
Britney Spears Attorney Working For Free After Being Paid $4.2 Million
According to reports, Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has decided to work for free after receiving over $4 million from the pop icon since he was retained in July 2021.
TMZ reported that Spears paid Rosengart $4,201,856 between November 2021 and March 2023 alone, which represents the work he performed after her conservatorship was terminated.
Although she has been free for over a year and a half, her legal battle with her estranged father, Jamie Spears, and former business manager, Lou Taylor, over legal fees and accounting is still ongoing. Despite this, the lawyer shared,
“We are very proud of our work of nearly two years and Britney’s appreciation of it, and we will continue to fiercely fight for her.”

Rosengart played a key role in having Spears’ dad suspended as conservator and in dissolving the legal arrangement altogether. He also helped draft a prenuptial agreement for Spears before her marriage to Sam Asghari and secured a restraining order against her stalker ex-husband, Jason Alexander.
Despite his contributions, Rosengart earned significantly less than Jamie Spears’ legal team.
