While the actor was not in much luck in his previous relationships, his chapter with his now-wife, Jackie Sandler changed everything. Having met on the set of his hit film, Big Daddy in 1999, the duo tied the knot in 2003 after dating each other for a couple of years. They share two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, who have been the source of “most joy” for him as he told HuffPost in 2014.
With immense success in the entertainment industry, it would be quite difficult for celebrities to manage their personal lifestyle accordingly. However, Adam Sandler is not much into the wild celebrity lifestyle anymore, especially when he got the taste of real parenthood.
He told the outlet,
“This is wild. Last night, my wife and I were falling asleep at 8 and we said, ‘No, we’re not giving into this sleep. Maybe we should go see a movie after the kids fall asleep.'”
Though things didn’t go as planned, he continued,
“Well, the kids weren’t falling. I’m in one room saying, ‘Twenty more minutes until they fall asleep. The next thing I know, I walk out of that room and my wife and my other daughter are curled up sleeping. I’m up half the night with the other one. Welcome to parenthood.”
Though it looks exhausting at the time, he told the outlet his kids are the source of his happiness. Though parenting is never easy, the actor opened up about spending quality time with his wife.
Adam Sandler Reveals The Secret to Marriage!
The 56-year-old actor in an interview with AARP magazine opened up about the secret to his marriage. While he claimed that no one would be interested in that, he voiced out why his marriage is still withstanding the test of time.
“Jackie and I like spending time with each other. We try to make each other laugh, try to listen, try to include each other, try to support each other.”
He continued,
“We try our best — that’s all. And we don’t ever think of not being together. We always talk about our future together.”
Adam Sandler has always given a shoutout to his wife for being an avid supporter of his work. The duo starred together in several of his movies, including Just Go With It and Pixels.
